What is the Fully Intergrated Ontario program in Canada

The Ontario Integrated Full Program at Viet Anh 3 School is a collaborative educational program that combines characteristic subjects from the Ontario provincial education curriculum with subjects requested by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam (MOET).

The Ontario Integrated Full Program is taught entirely in English, with all program instructors carefully selected and overseen by Toronto Academy of EMC. Upon successfully completing all graduation requirements of the program, students will receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), which is recognized globally.

In parallel with the Ontario Integrated Full Program, students will also complete the Vietnamese Elementary and High School programs to receive the National High School Graduation Certificate.

The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is an internationally recognized certificate from Ontario, which serves as an entry requirement for many prestigious universities worldwide, including Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. Having an OSSD opens up numerous opportunities for students to access top-ranked universities globally.

In the Ontario Integrated Full Program at Viet Anh 3 School, students receive two graduation certificates: one is the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and the other is the Vietnamese National High School Graduation Certificate. As a result, students have the flexibility to choose entrance exams at both top public and international universities in Vietnam.

  • The students must participate the entrance exam. The purpose of the entrance examination is to help the school better understand students’ thinking, skills, and learning abilities, in order to provide them with the most suitable and effective educational environment. Students who wish to enroll in the Ontario Integrated Full Program need to complete an entrance examination administered by Toronto Academy of EMC. The examination consists of two parts: Reading-Writing and an Interview.

  2. Literacy Requirement: Students must demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing by passing the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) or participate the Ontario Literacy Course (110 hours) as an alternative fot the OSSLT test. The school will evaluate the subjects implemented in the host country of students on the basis of students to have a complete and formal transcript. After comparing the subjects that students have completed with subjects in Canada, the school will convert into the equivalent credits that students can be exempted from reducing instead of repeating those subjects to get credibility. only. Details of credit conversion have been written in the table above.

According to the graduation requirements of Ontario, there are a number of subjects (not all subjects) students are required to complete in grade 10 such as subjects: Canadian history, civic education, career orientation … because So, even if students are in grade 11 or 12 in Vietnam, when studying this program, they must study these subjects.

English is the most important subject.

Because, one of the basic requirements to graduate from the OSSD program is to complete the 12th grade English and Math credits (at least 11th grade).

For example: Students who finish grade 11 in Vietnam cannot learn English grade 12 of the OSSD program when the results of the English entry test are too low. Students will be divided on the subject of the English entry test.

IELTS is only valid for colleges and universities. Students cannot use the IELTS certificate to replace the English credit for Grade 12. However, students can shorten their completion time for the English course by being placed in higher-level English classes such as ESLEO or ENG 11 (C), but they cannot replace the English credits for ENG 12 (C) or ENG 12 (U).

Most colleges and universities will use the grades from grade 12 subjects for admissions. However, in some cases, they may consider grade 11 scores for early admission if the student’s academic performance is excellent. This situation is referred to as “Early Admission”.

On the websites of colleges and universities, the admission requirements for each major that students will register for are clearly stated. Based on this, students can prepare from grade 11 for the required credits of their chosen field of study.
